Grundag - Nordic Sax
Forged by David DelaGardelle, this sax is a mix of two nordic sax styles, the grip reflects early migration period sax handles and the broken backed blade reflects later viking scramaseax blades. the carvings were inspired by intricate woodcarvings on the Urnes Stave Church in Norway. Although the carvings on this sax are nothing in comparison to those on the church, it at least tries to retain the spirit of the carved knotwork. The runes on the spine of the blade read "Grundag the Old"
